POLISHED CONCRETE HTC SUPERFLOOR™
DPK Constructions has a constant interest in advanced materials and new technologies. Having in mind the importance of functional areas combined with modern design principles on a cost effective basis, we firstly introduced in Greece, the complete polished concrete system or else HTC SUPERFLOOR™.
Polished concrete is a really simple and yet brilliant idea that gives us a truly aesthetically unique result. By grinding and polishing procedures, we turn a simple concrete floor into a shiny beautiful surface that reflects light.
A dull, battered, grey floor can be transformed into a modern, polished, easy-to-clean surface, as durable as the initial concrete substrate.
Polished concrete can be used in various areas like, logistic centers, warehouses, airports, retail stores, malls, supermarkets, industrial areas, office areas, museums, galleries and contemporary houses.
It is ideal for car exhibition centers and garages and car repair stores as it is resistant to tire marks.
A battered floor surface with damaged resin coatings, cracks, uneven parts, bumpy areas, spalled joints, etc. is a big aesthetic disadvantage and creates numerous problems to the material handling equipment and the personnel function.
With our diamond grinding fleet, we remove the old resin coatings (epoxy, polyurethane etc.) and we turn these floors into flat, smooth, shiny surfaces thus creating an ergonomic and elegant result.
By using special state-of-the-art grinding machines, we can achieve glossy or matt finish surfaces. At the same time, we can remove the concrete paste, exposing the ballast and give our floors a really special design or retain the paste and keep the initial design of the concrete floor, yet the final finish can be glossy or mat. Finally, we can color the final surface or incorporate a logo. All grinding and polishing steps are dust free procedures as every single machine is always connected to industrial vacuum cleaners.
With our grinding fleet we can complete 250m2/day of HTC SUPERFLOOR™, with no dust.
HTC SUPERFLOOR™ can a lifelong solution. The common epoxy, polyurethane or methacrylate coatings will have to be refreshed or repaired after some time. On the other hand, HTC SUPERFLOOR™ can be preserved forever as it is not a final coating. It is a procedure by which we polish an existing concrete surface. The initial concrete strength and mechanical properties remain the same and that is why HTC SUPERFLOOR™ is a durable and permanent solution. By adding a final sealer, we can increase the resistance to water and oil absorption. This excellent result can be maintained forever with proper cleaning.
HTC SUPERFLOOR™ is an environmentally friendly solution.
HTC SUPERFLOOR™ is not a final floor coating.
It is an ideal floor solution for warehouses and logistics centers since you avoid all the common resin coating floor problems.
